Historic Thames boatyard stocks Ensearch:

John’s Boat Works in Brentford, Middlesex has become the latest business to stock Ensearch’s range of products.

John’s Boat Works builds, restores and maintains stunningly beautiful traditional boats as well as any types of barge and river boats.  The company has recently moved to a small derelict island, Lot’s Ait, in the Thames, which the owner, John Watson, long dreamed of restoring to its former glory when the boat yard there serviced the busy tidal traffic of the Thames in the days before road transport took over.

John’s Boat Works’ highly skilled craftsmen expertly carry out all types of repair work, from the smallest rigging repair to full keel-up restorations. The company uses traditional and modern boat building materials and techniques as appropriate.  The team is called out to work on boats on the river and canal networks from Oxford to as far north as Nottingham and Manchester.  The revitalised boatyard at Lot’s Ait provides a fantastic boatbuilding and repair resource on the Thames for boat owners.

John  Watson explains "The Lots Ait facility also provides DIY and small professional boatbuilders and other craftsmen with rental space to carry on their projects, either in the workshop or out in the boat park area. There is a full woodworking machine shop which will supply machined hard or softwood timber, and a community area with kitchen, shower and toilets for the benefit of our customers"

The yard stocks a full range of accessories for river boaters, and we are proud to say that this includes the range of Ensearch cleaning and finishing products.
